Exploratory Books

After a transformative workshop, I began experimenting with the format of an accordion book. My books are really just a folded piece of paper with no cover. Psychologically, for me, this format feels very low stakes; if I mess up or it is ugly, I can throw away one piece of paper. My aim for each work is to make mini-works (the pages) that relate to each other but are not the same and to try something I have not tried before. I try new lettering styles, new techniques, new media. I am so tickled with their variety and have even exhibited them, even though that was not my initial intent.
