A Dozen Hymns Texts

After working on a large piece that was not coming together as I had hoped, I got the idea to do a different kind of large piece–a piece of pieces. Each part could stand on its own but would integrate nicely into the group. I envisioned the pieces framed in identical frames and hung tightly together. I decided to choose two styles of calligraphy, a specific color palette, gouache and chalk only, and a limited number of design elements (like diagonal features, banners, and florals).
